Taurus - 36” x 36”

A sculptural light painting composed of hand-painted resin bulbs and layered acrylic on canvas. Each bulb is magnet-mounted and rechargeable, casting a soft, shifting glow that blurs the line between painting and object.

This piece explores form, stillness, and subtle illumination — but beneath the surface, it holds a quiet personal story. The three illuminated bulbs correspond to the brightest stars in the Taurus constellation: Aldebaran, Elnath, and Alcyone — a tribute to my children, who share its sign. One bulb glows slightly brighter, a nod to Aldebaran, the dominant star in the constellation — often called the Eye of the Bull.
